Our Work and Impact - A Case Study
Nonprofit HR was launching a new initiative that works exclusively with social enterprises. With a limited budget in the height of the pandemic, they needed someone who was outgoing, creative, and a strong communicator to support this initiative and help it gain traction. Through Second Day, Nonprofit HR was able to bring on Zach Hankin as an Impact Fellow to contribute to their team as his passion for applying his business skills to the social impact sector aligned seamlessly with the needs of the role.
Key Outcomes
During his Impact Fellowship tenure, Zach achieved the following at Nonprofit HR:
1. Secured the first social enterprise client under the new initiative, and the first multi-year contract with a large social enterprise investor
2. Wrote a published blog on resilient leaders of social enterprises based on interviews he conducted with two CEOs
3. Created outreach materials for outbound business development efforts to support the new initiative
The Impact
Nonprofit HR went on to promote Zach and hire him full-time as he proved to be such a valuable member of the team, and they replaced his previous position with another Second Day Impact Fellow. Since then, Nonprofit HR has gone on to hire other Impact Fellows to fulfill needs across their organization in various departments, including marketing, DEI, and client services.
